8.6 TaK 2000

The army wanted a weapon that could be used at longer distances than the TaK 85 could handle. The new weapon should also be lighter and not have a wooden stock. They got what they wanted with the Sako TRG-42 as it is called in the civilian market. With 8.6 TaK 2000 the snipers can shoot at a man-sized target at ranges up to 1300 meters.
